Barça Set to Play First Game at Upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday
Barcelona have announced they will play at the still-under-construction Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome the Basque side in the Spanish league two and a half years since relocating to allow renovations to start.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited though over 45,000 attendees are permitted inside under the licence granted. When completed, the stadium’s capacity will reach over 104,000 attendees, increasing from the former 99,000. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured a renovated tunnel for players plus modern locker rooms.

The club conducted a public practice on the home pitch in early November. They mentioned they were hoping for permission by UEFA to play their next home Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt next month in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place in the temporary ground.
