Clair Obscur Sweeps at the 2025 Golden Joystick Ceremony
The forty-third annual Golden Joystick Awards took place recently, and in a stunning show, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 emerged as the most decorated winner. This standout role-playing game by Sandfall Interactive secured the coveted Top Game award, along with accolades for Superb Storytelling and Excellence in Visuals.
Enhancing the studio's triumph, its skilled performers also received individual awards. Jennifer English received Top Lead Actor for her performance as Maelle, while Ben Starr won Best Supporting Actor for his work as Verso. Furthermore, Sandfall Interactive the studio was named Top Studio. Overall, Clair Obscur and its developers achieved 7 awards during the ceremony.
Other notable winners featured Ghost of Yōtei, which was awarded Outstanding Audio and Top Console Title, and Hollow Knight: Silksong, winning Outstanding Independent Game and Best PC Game. Worth mentioning, the bulk of Golden Joystick Awards are voted on by the public, with only four categories—Critics’ Choice, Breakthrough, Hall of Fame inductee, and Streamer Selection—decided by critics.
